I recently had the opportunity to photograph the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event in Greensburg, PA, and it was such a meaningful experience to be part of. The event brought together people from all across the community to support an important cause and raise awareness for domestic violence and sexual assault.

Participants arrived wearing bright colors, decorated heels, team shirts, and handmade signs, all ready to walk together and stand in solidarity with survivors. It was inspiring to see so many individuals, families, businesses, and organizations come together with the same goal of creating awareness and supporting change.

As a photographer, I love capturing moments that tell a story, and this event was full of them. There were so many genuine interactions throughout the day. Friends laughed together before the walk began, emotional speeches brought people together, and the crowd continuously cheered one another on throughout the route. Every photo reflected the compassion and strength that filled the event.
